Manage your cholesterol and Blood pressure with my new favorite fruit “bitter gourd”

Bitter gourd is a cumcumber look alike fruit with a very rough skin. it is seeded and has a bitter taste. It is also called bitter melon In English, Dagdaggu in Hausa, ejinrin weeri Or igbole Aja in Yoruba and akban ndene in Igbo. The reason i am writing about bitter gourd is because it is my new found medicinal fruit and I love it. It is said to be high in Vitamin K, vitamin C, potassium and 17 more vital vitamins and mineral which are known to be very beneficial to ones health. it is known to adjust blood pressure, detoxifies the the skin and digestive system, reduce cholesterol level while aiding weight loss at the same time. This fruit can be prepared in varieties of ways depending on ones preferences. You can chop it into pieces and boil it to make bitter gourd tea, steam it to eat with your meal or roast it depending on how you want it. Also you can decide to flavor it to your taste with any spice or sweetener to mask the bitter taste. but if you are just like me, then you won’tmind the bitter taste and just ingest it like that. This fruit can be found in the fruit and vegetable section of supermarkets or from the fruit section of any market. it a bit pricy in some parts of the country but trust me the benefits is worth it. Please don’t replace this with any of your doctor’s prescription. please drop your comments and questions in the comment section and I will respond as soon as I can. thanks for stopping by.
